Nothing is using this now, and we'll likely never pick this up again,
but we learned a lot in the process.
Every now and then this breaks in some bizarre way on channel bumps
and it's just a waste of time to maintain that.

Make Store::buildPaths return a Status with [[nodiscard]] rather than
throwing exceptions to signal failure. This is the beginning of a long
road to refactor the entire store API to be status/statusor based
instead of using exceptions.

Factor out the shared utilities for interacting with protobufs/grpc from
libstore to a proto.hh header in libproto.
